      Born in Brighton in , Eric Gill was one of the most influential British artists of the twentieth century. A sculptor, engraver, printmaker and typeface designer, his work can be found in Westminister Cathedral and on other iconic buildings around the country, his typefaces were adopted for branding by high profile organizations such as the : Muriel Cooper was an eminent twentieth century graphic designer. Besides being a noted book designer, she was a researcher and educator as well. MIT Press sought her assistance for a very longtime as an art director.
